Regarding the results of the working visit to Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation (Magdeburg, Germany)
The Chairman of the Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TSI) Board Bogdan Furundzhi and the Vice-Rector for Research and Development professor Irina Yatskiv visited the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation (Magdeburg, Germany) from 8 to 9 October 2015.
The Fraunhofer IFF is a member of national and international research and business networks. It closely collaborates with Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and other universities of applied science and research organizations in the region. The Fraunhofer IFF specializes in planning, developing, designing, optimizing and servicing products, factories, plants and logistics systems. This entails creating jobs in laboratories or the medical field as much as planning processes for smart logistics. The Fraunhofer IFF in Magdeburg focuses on developing applied solutions for industrial and private sector clients. Top priorities of researches are applications for energy, health, safety, the environment, digital engineering, and robotics.
The agreement on cooperation between our establishments was signed to provide mutual beneficial cooperation in research, innovation, educational activities. As a part of the agreement Action plan was set up for the period till 2020.
In the framework of this cooperation it is planned preparation of applications for realization of common scientific projects in the framework of the Project Horizon 2020, including Project Twinning and other activities.
