New Visiting Scholar at TSI, Transport and Telecommunication Institute
From September 1, till December 1, 2016 PhD Alfonso Bahillo Martínez from University of Deusto as an STSM will be visiting Scholar at TSI, Transport and Telecommunication Institute. The Spanish Government funded his scholarship through a competitive grant, that aiming to: (i) update and/or share research and/or education activities, (ii) set up new academic links and (iii) cooperate in H2020 project proposal.
Title of the Visiting Scholarship: A social cooperative monitoring tool for the production of inclusive public spaces - Enabling a seamless positioning system as a framework to build context-based services aiming towards the production of inclusive and cohesive public spaces. Supervisor from TSI: prof. Irina Yatskiv (Jackiva).
Alfonso Bahillo Martínez is working as postdoc at the University of Deusto in Bilbao, where he trains Master’s students and collaborates in several national and international research projects in the field of the ambient assisted living. Also, he collaborates as invited professor training Master’s students with the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications at the University of Cauca in Colombia. He has worked (leading some of them) in more than 20 regional, national and international research projects and contracts. He is co-author of 17 research manuscripts published in international journals of high impact, 7 research chapters of scientific international books, more than 30 communications in international conferences, and 3 national patents. All of them related to local positioning techniques, ambient assisted living, wireless networking, numerical methods in electromagnetic and radio propagation modelling for indoor and outdoor communications.
