The Project Proposal was submitted by an international consortium consisting of 17 participants, including the TSI, under the European Commission Programme ‘ERASMUS + KA2: Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices’ Programme in Activity ‘Knowledge Alliances’ on 28 February 2017.
The Project was evaluated and accept granted by the European Commission, its implementation was started on 1 January 2018. The Project duration is 36 months.
The goal of the Project is to improve the dialogue between institutions of higher education and enterprises of the aviation industry in the field of personnel training and re-training. In the first place, it aims to study the needs of aviation enterprises in terms of training their employees, determine the required qualifications, knowledge and skills of their employees. In the second place, it is intended to analyse proposals by universities taking part in the Project regarding staff training. As a result, recommendations will be prepared for institutions of higher education to improve their educational programmes and methods of teaching by taking into account the needs of the industry. A new joint master degree programme ‘IT Applied in Aviation’ will be developed as well. It is also planned that the Project participants will create a joint information network ’European Network for Aviation Training and Education’ for maintaining a permanent contact between universities and the industry in the field of aviation training.
