FINAL RESULTS OF TESTING THE TTI STUDENTS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

The results of a regular testing of the TSI students in the English language are here. Computer testing in the foreign language has become a good tradition in TTI.

Due to the yearly testing, which includes two stages (1^st and 2^nd semesters), students can check their level of the English language (with the purpose of its further mastering), spot their weak points and monitor the extent to which they have managed to improve their knowledge of the foreign language during their education in TTI. About 200 students of the 1^st and 2^nd courses have come to test their knowledge in April 2012.

In general, the students have revealed a good level of mastering English, the average result for all groups being 7 points out of 10. The comparative results of the similar tests in the academic years of 2009-2010, of 2010-2011 and of 2011-2012 have shown the following tendencies. Those students, who take up intensive learning of the English language for its further professional application, improve their results (both in groups and personal). The students engaged in multi-lingual studies demonstrate perfect knowledge (8-9 points). The results of the above testing will be used for the statistic analysis in the framework of developing of multi-lingual education in TTI, as well as for selecting applicants for learning abroad under the ERASMUS program.
