Winter ball in transport and telecommunication institute

On 30 January in Transport and Telecommunication Institute a celebration of the Students’ Day (Tatiana’s Day) took place. Scenario of the Masquerade Ball was based on the Johann Strauss operetta “Die Fledemaus”. Not only lecturers and students of the Institute attended the ball, but also teachers and schoolchildren from Riga, Jurmala, Liepaja and Limbazi.

Participants of the Ball during two weeks have been studying complex moves of the classic dances, such as polonaise, waltz, polka and mazurka, taught by choreographer Natalie Naybauer.

The Ball was hosted by Prince Orlofsky and Die Fledermaus, played by TTI students. In memory of the event the souvenirs were presented to the Ball participants.

The atmosphere of joy and happiness surrounded the guests; beautiful gowns of the ladies attracted attention and admiration and were pleasing to the eye.

Guests and participants of the Ball expressed a wish that this tradition would be continued in the future.
