ERASMUS

What is ERASMUS?

ERASMUS is a mutual European Programme for cooperation in the area of education. Within the frames of the ERASMUS Programme the exchange of students and lecturers between the higher schools of Europe is going on. The Programme has been existing for over 20 years and is supported and financed by the European Union.

The Programme is called in honour of a philosopher, theologian and humanist Erasmus of Rotterdam (1465-1536). The untiring enemy of a dogmatic thinking in all spheres of human directions, Erasmus lived and worked in various parts of Europe searching for knowledge, experience and understanding, which were available only through direct contacts with other countries.

At present 31 counties participate in this Programme: 27 EU Member Countries, and also Island, Lichtenstein, Norway and Turkey. Annually over 150 thousands students go to study to other country by the ERASMUS Programme.

Purpose of the ERASMUS Programme:

  • to provide young people a real opportunity to feel themselves as citizens of common Europe, to become independent, and, what is the most crucial – to exchange knowledge, experience and achievements;
  • to create a common European educational space.

Why ERASMUS?

ERASMUS is not only learning!

Use opportunity to participate in the Programme and you may:

  • obtain new knowledge;
  • perfect your knowledge of foreign languages;
  • acquire a precious experience;
  • get acquainted with other countries` culture;
  • find new friends;
  • receive many life impressions in other European country.

Studies in other higher school will be accounted in TTI.

And, the most important – participation in the ERASMUS Programme is for free!
